WORLD EXCLUSIVE
David Breckham's foot gets better !
David, Pilot 007 will be taking his foot back into the air again later this year! After his fateful flight from EGCC to EGCC in which a UKD sandwich with Argentinian corned beef filling fell onto his foot bone David has been getting back to peak fitness, putting in loads of hours trying to fill out a Pirep form. Also, he is seriously considering selling his rudder pedals. Offers invited.
UK2000 Scenery - Manchester

Gary Summons' latest offering to tempt the taste buds of the flightsimming
community is EGCC. For a mere £10 you can banish the default scenery and still
enjoy AI aircraft going where they should and not over the grass and through the
buildings. If you like to fly in and out of the North West then look no further.
For all the information on this and other UK2000 products visit Gary at:

Other products to consider - Simflyers' Manchester from: http://www.simflyers.net - you pays yer money and makes yer choice.
Fleet News
Well it's never over until the fat lady sings....(where did that saying come from..ed?) but rumours abound that an Airbus might be used on the Caribbean Direct route to Miami. Delivery of a larger capacity jet could open the way for flights to other US destinations such as Atlanta, Orlando and Dallas and some medium haul Latin American destinations. Watch this space! In the meantime here's a sneaky picture of an aircraft matching the description of the aforementioned arriving at Juliana. Textures courtesy of the Common Shapes Library.

Which takes us nicely onto the subject in the foreground. CDA/CDAC are in negotiations to purchase one or more ex-Caribbean HS748's.

Artists impressions! (FS98)
Trials are currently underway to assess the types suitability for regional air freight, including mail, with an option for passenger carrying on demand. A major restructuring of our present Caribbean operation is currently under consideration using the BAC1-11's for the majority of the core routes, with other Caribbean destinations also being assessed for viability.
Birthday Unicorn !

Our first true FS02 aircraft created with GMAX.
For a limited time our 767-300ER G-UKIC will be
available sporting a Unicorn on the tail as part of our Birthday celebrations
this month.
The real celebrations with jelly and ice cream featuring strongly and part
poppers come later !
I'm reliably informed that this aircraft repaint will be available in all of the colours and in all of the sizes. (No not literally...)
Sounds interesting? ...well this will blow you away ! (it did me!.ed.)

G-UKIA - Remember her?
Whilst most UK Direct pilots are going about the day to day business of UK sector flying it would appear that a couple of fly-boys are secretly plying the Pacific with our ex-UKD 747-200's. As nobody wanted to buy them from us they have been given a quick repaint and are currently occasionally seen via Whazzup flying around Tahiti and Fiji to name but a couple of places. I have the feeling that some pilot training may be all that stands in the way of the public launch of this exciting venture ! Expect more news VERY soon!
Family Planning ?

picture from airdisaster.com - Ooops! Forgot the parking brake........
Isn't flying complicated? So it's not surprising that a few mistakes are made . Most go un-noticed to all but the Mark and the statistics office. Although Mark was once questioned by a very attractive flight attendent during a visit to see the Captain at work in the cockpit. " Have you taken precautions?" she was heard to moan from behind the curtained flight-deck. Yes, said Mark, don't worry I've set the parking brake ! But quickly moving on...... Our Planning department has opened to act as a quick resource locator for the charts necessary for those interested in following real-world procedures and those that fly online who are obliged to! Go see !
Is it me?
